At many places, idols remains and stone inscriptions have been found while digging. Of these, many idols have been collected and kept in the temples by Digamber people.

It has been said that between Vikram century 10th and 12th, this place has been ruled by Jains who built thousands of temples. Out of these, some are found in Kelkooli, Kukalda, Antraliya , Modi, Neemthur villages. According to the stone inscriptions found in Neemthur villages, there has been a reference of “Gadj Abhinav Girnar”. Even the idols of the Jain Gods were found in the hills. Out of them one of it is been worshipped as Goran Devi by the villagers. There is a symbol of Tirthankars on the forehead of these idols. Hence the village must have been named as Nemipur which has now been called Neemthur. There are nine temples out of which Sri Bhalvada Parshvanath’s temple is the most ancient. It was consecrated in Vikram year 1548. The beautiful and out of the world idol of Sri Adinath Bhagwan, might have been renovated during the reign of king Samprati. There are no writings on it.

Many miracles have occurred here. For example, one gets to listen instrumental music during Paryushan Parva, fulfillment of wishes by Shashandev and motivating the pujari to do his work honestly. Every year the Dhvaja ceremony is celebrated on Vasant Panchami.

Presently there are four Swetamber temples, four Digamber temples and one Dadawadi.
