SHRI DELWADA (GUJ) TIRTH

PRESIDING DEITY AND LOCATION :

Shri Chintamani Parshvanath Bhagwan in white color seated in a lotus posture, of height 38 Cms in a shrine in Delwada village (Shve).

ANTIQUITY AND SALIENT FEATURES :

No history is available as to the period when this temple was built. But a reference is found to the effect that renovations were carried out on the temple in Vikram year 1784.

This shrine is one among Ajahara Panch Teerth. At present no special art in the temple is visible. Nearby there is no other temple.

APPROACH – ROUTE :

The nearby railway station of Delwada is 1 Km away where autos and rickshaws are available for transport. Bus stand is only 200 meters away from the temple. There is a tar road upto the temple. From Ajahara shrine this shrine is only 2 KMs and from Una shrine, it is about 5 Kms away.

AMENITIES FOR JAIN PILGRIMS :

For lodging there are rooms built near the temple where water and electricity are available.
