PRESIDING DEITY AND LOCATION :

Shri Mahavir Bhagwan in white color, seated in a lotus posture, of height 65 Cms in the village of Deldar. (Shve).

ANTIQUITY AND SALIENT FEATURES :

On one of the pillars in the temple there is an inscription dated Vikram year 1101 which shows temples antiquity. On the pedestal of the Parikar i.e. surrounding frame of the Presiding Deity, there is an inscription of Vikram year 1359 and on another pedestal in the temple is found an inscription of Vikram year 1331. Few ancient idols from here , have been taken away to Sabarmati.

Every year on Vaishakh Sukla 6, a flag is hoisted on the mast of the temple Sikhar. There is no other temple in the immediate vicinity. The art displayed in the making of this idol is pleasing and very attractive.

APPROACH – ROUTE :

The nearby railway station of Abu road is 11 Kms away where taxis and jeeps are available. Cars and buses can go right upto the temple.

AMENITIES FOR JAIN PILGRIMS :

Presently there is no arrangement for lodging here. It is advisable and convenient to stay first at Abu Road and visit this place.
