PRESIDING DEITY AND LOCATION :

Shri Adinath Bhagwan seated in a lotus posture in white color of height 67 Cms (Shve) in a shrine located in Dantiwada village. Which is situated on the banks of Banas river.

ANTIQUITY AND SALIENT FEATURES :

The Danthpatak village is today well known as Dantiwada. This temple is been built around eleventh century. According to the inscription found in the main idol of Sri Adeshwar Prabhu, this temple has been consecrated by Shree Vijay Somsundersuriji during the reign of Ravul Raja Gajsinghji in the year 1236. May be, then it was renovated and then sanctified but to know about its history before that is quiet difficult.

The ancient idol of Sri Adinath Bhagwan is found even today. But due to the construction of dam in the Banas river, the government ordered most part of the village to be emptied. Hence the idols in this temple are shifted to an old Upashraya. Many of the SHravaks too shifted from this place. Work is still going on to rebuild the temple and re-sanctify the idols. The construction of an other temple is also going on the place where people were shifted to by the government. The ancient idol of Sri Shanthinath Bhagwan which was in this temple is going to be sanctified.

The old temple from where the idols were obtained is safe even today. I pray to God that these idols get reconsecrated in its original place that is the old temple so that the ancient history of this shrine reminds to be the same. And the new temple gets ready faster so that the shravaks can perform pujas.
