SHRI SHIYANI TIRTH
PRESIDING DEITY AND LOCATION :
Sri Shanthinath Bhagwan in white color seated in a lotus posture, of height 32 Cms in the village of Shiyani. (Shve).
ANTIQUITY AND SALIENT FEATURES :
This is an ancient shrine of which it is difficult to ascertain the antiquity. It is said that this pleasing idol of Sri Shanthinath Bhagwan was ceremonially installed by Sri Samprati raja. Many indications are available that the temple has been renovated several times.
The shrine is more significant because of the idol having been installed by Sri Samprati Raja. Dhwaja functions is held every year on Magsar Sukla Panchami, during which thousands of devotees gather here and offer their prayers and worship. This shrine is the oldest one in Surendranagar district. This shrine is the oldest one in Surendranagar district. Many non Jain devotees also have been visiting the shrine since centuries past.
APPROACH – ROUTE :
The nearby railway station of Limbdi is 13 Kms away from where buses and taxis to come here are available. There is a tar road upto the temple.
AMENITIES FOR JAIN PILGRIMS :
There is a dharamshala adjacent to the temple with all facilities including a bhojanshala for meals.
