SHRI SESALI TIRTH
PRESIDING DEITY AND LOCATION :
Shri Dada Parshvanath Bhagwan in white color, seated in a lotus posture, of height 75 Cms located in a shrine in the village of Sesali on the banks of the river Mithadi about 400 meters from the village of Punadia (Shve).
ANTIQUITY AND SALIENT FEATURES :
A reference is available which states that this temple was constructed by Sanghavi Sri Mandan and on Ashad Sukla 7 in Vikram year 1187 was ceremonially consecrated by the hands of Bhattarak Acharya Sri Anandsurishvarji. Even today his successors perform the Dhvaja ceremony of the temple sikhar. IN the past, this place appears to have been very prosperous. Every year on Kartik Poornima, and on Bhadrapad Sukla 10 fairs are being held here. The art with which the idol has been made is very attractive and pleasing to the mind. There is no other temple nearby.
APPROACH – ROUTE :
The nearby railway station is Falna and it is 10 Kms away from where buses and taxis are available to come here. Bali is 3 Kms away. Cars and buses can go right upto the temple. The nearest railway station is Punadia, only 400 meters from the temple.
AMENITIES FOR JAIN PILGRIMS :
For lodging there is a dharamshala and guest house with all facilities including a bhojanshala for meals.
