SHRI DHARANAGIRI TIRTH
PRESIDING DEITY AND LOCATION :
Shri Adinath Bhagwan seated in a lotus posture in white color in a shrine located in Dhaar city in mid-road to Mahavir. (Shve).
ANTIQUITY AND SALIENT FEATURES :
The ancient Dhara nagari is today well known as Dhaar city. This was establisher in Vikram 10th century by Punwar kings.
In Vikram 11th century, during the reign of king Bhoj, Acharyas like Sri Shantisuriji and Suracharyaji and Scholar like Dhanpal were born. Many temples were built during this period. But these temples and temples built before that period, are not found today. May be they got destroyed.
Of the temples today, this temple is the ancient which was consecrated in Vikram year 1203 by Acharya Sri Shemsuriji. May be during that time one of the ancient temples must have got renovated and re-consecrated. But anyway, this shrine definitely belongs to the beginning of Vikram 13th century. This shrine is one amongst the five shrines of Malwa.
The idol of Manibhadra Baba is quite miraculous, which is well known as Motibabaji in this place. Many of the Jains come here to fulfill their wishes.
There are two more temples apart from this temple and Sri Bhaktamar Teerth Abhyuday Dham shrine is just 2 Kms away from here. All the idols are dainty, admirable and artistic.
APPROACH – ROUTE :
Indore is the nearby railway station, which is 65 Kms away. Apart from it, Ratlam is 90 Kms and Meghnagar is 85 Kms away from here, with facilities of autos and taxis.
Mandavgadh is 30 Kms away. Mohankheda 40 Kms away, Bhopavar 35 Kms and Amizhara Teerth is 25 Kms away from here. The nearby airport is Indore.

There is a dharamshala and a bhojanshala at Sri Bhaktamar Teerth Abhuday –Dham, which is just 2 Kms away.
