SHRI DHEEMA TIRTH

PRESIDING DEITY AND LOCATION :

Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan in a shrine in the village of Dheema (Shve).

ANTIQUITY AND SALIENT FEATURES :

It is difficult to obtain the history of the antiquity of this shrine. It is told that renovations to this temple were carried out by king Kumarpal. The shrine has this significance of being associated with king Kumarpal. The art in making this ancient idol appears exclusive but pretty. There is no other temple in the nearby area.

APPROACH – ROUTE :

The railway station in the vicinity is Deesa where taxis and buses are available. Tharad is 14Kms, Bhorol is 9 Kms and vav is 12 Kms away from this shrine. Taxis and buses are available at all these places. Buses and cars can go upto the temple.

AMENITIES FOR JAIN PILGRIMS :

There is an upashraya near the temple but presently no facilities whatever exists for boarding or lodging.
