PRESIDING DEITY AND LOCATION :

Sri Parshvanath Bhagwan in white color, seated in a lotus posture, of height 55 Cms in a shrine outside the village of Uthman at the foot hills . (Shve).

ANTIQUITY AND SALIENT FEATURES :

From the stone inscriptions found in the temple, the shrine is believed to be of a period before the 12th Vikram century. On the wall of the Rangamandap in the temple there is an inscription which states that the Rangamandap was built on Jeth Krishna Panchami in Vikram year 1251.

There is one other inscription dated Wednesday, the Maha Sukla 10 in Vikram year 1243 which states that a well was constructed in the temple precincts by a Jain householder named Sri Dhaneshvar and his family members. There is a reference that a few years back the temple was renovated. There is no other temple nearby.

APPROACH – ROUTE :

The nearby railway station of Jawaibandh is 20 Kms away where taxis are available. The nearby big town of Sirohi is 22 Ms and of Shivganj is 15 Kms away from where buses and taxis are available. On the main road at a distance of 1 ½ Kms from the temple, there is the public bus stand from where transport is available to reach the temple. There is tar road upto the temple. Cars and buses can go upto the temple doors.

AMENITIES FOR JAIN PILGRIMS :

There is a dharamshala for lodging with all facilities including a bhojanshala for meals.
