Kangra Tirth (Himachal Pradesh), is believed to be brought miraculously by Ambika Devi during the reign of King Susharmachandra. One day, the king decided to abstain from all food until he had a darshan of Bhagwan Aadinath at Shatrunjay Tirth. Ambika Devi brought about the existence of the temple at the fort to save the king from death due to starvation. The ancient idol of Bhagwan Aadinath is in the possession of the Archaeological Department and is kept in a small shrine within the fort. An idol of Ambika Devi is installed in another small shrine.
