Fresh, homemade sweet savouries are eaten up as quickly as they are made.
Meetha Shakarpara
- Melt sugar or jaggery in water.
- Mix the other ingredients for the dough. Bind with the sugar water. Knead to a semi soft dough. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a smooth round ball. Roll out each ball into even, slightly thick big rounds.
- With a knife, cut each round into equal diamond shaped pieces. Keep aside.
- On a high flame, heat ghee in a frying pan. Lower the flame. Deep fry shakarparas till light golden in colour. Remove, drain and put them on an absorbent paper. Cool and store in an airtight container.
