With reference to the composition of this stotra, it is certified that when Acharya Manatungsuriji was imprisoned by King Bhoj, he composed Bhaktamar Stotra and broke 48 locks by 48 gaathas. Acharya Manatungsuriji and King Bhoj lived duting the same period (7th century). Bhagwan Aadinath is praised in this stotra.
