Mulnayak: Nearly 78 cms. high black- coloured idol of Bhagwan Dhingadmal Parshvanath in the padmasana posture. Dhingadmal Parshvanath is aiso known as Shyamala Parshvanath.
Tirth: It is in Jogiwada in Patan.
Historicity: This is a very ancient temple believed to be older than the 18th century of the Vikram era. This captivating, glorious and beautiful idol is of the period of King Samprati. “Shri Shyamala Parshvanath stavan” written in 18th century by Kavi Udayratna praises Dhingadmal Parshvanath of Jogiwada which shows the antiquity of this idol. Jains and non-jains worship this idol of Parshvanath with great faith.
Works of art and sculpture: This is a very ancient temple.The 10 Bhavas and 5 Kalyanaks of Parshvanath Bhagwan are beautifully, artistically and colourfully painted on the walls of the temple. On the pillars in the temple, beautiful mirror work is done. |
