73. Shri Navlakha Parshvanath

Mulnayak: 33 inch high White – colored idol of Bhagawan,

Tirth: It is in the Navlakha Road in Pali village, Rajasthan.

Historicity: The ancient names of this place were "Pallika" and
"Palli". At the time of renovation , the installation festival ghee was
ordered by the learned Acharya Yashobhadrasurisvarji through
tantric power. When the merchants of this place came to know
about this, they went to pay the price of the ghee but seeing that
their invaluable wealth was used for a pious purpose, they did not
accept the money amounting nine lakhs of rupees, This temple,
therefore, became known as the ‘Navlakha Temple’ .There is
another story behind the name Navlakha. It is said that on the
nine Pooja spots of the idol mantras are written. So it is also
known as Navlakha Parshvanath. Previously the idol of Bhagwan
Mahaveer was installed. There is an inscription from the time of
renovation of this temple in the year 1144 and its renovation again
in the year 1686 of the Vikram era that this idol of Bhagawan Parshwanath was installed in the
place of the idol of Bhagwan Mahavir. In ancient times, this was a very prosperous place and many
Shravakas of this place were known for their religious works.Even today, these works remind us of
their glory, A flag is hoisted on the third day of the bright half of the month of Vaishakh.
Other Temples: Besides this, there are ten temples and four Dadawadis in the town.On the
punagiri hill outside the town, there is a temple of Bhagawan Parshrvanath. It is known as the
‘Bhabarimandir’.

Works of art and Sculpture: The Navlakha temple is known for its marvellous architecture and
carvings.: The idol of Bhagwan is very artistic. Some ancient idols present a very attractive view.
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Pali is at distance of 3 kilometers, from the temple. Bus
Service and taxi Service are available. There are boarding and lodging provisions. There is an
ayambilshala, an upashraya, a pathashala, and a gyanshala.

Scripture:. A mention of this temple has been made in "The Parshvanath Chaityaparipati".There is
another temple of this name in the union territory of Diu built by Maharaja Kumarpal. A mention of
this temple has been made in "Tirthmala" There is an idol of Navlakha Parshvanath in the temple
of Shri Bahuswami in "Limbri" , in "Jirawala Tirth" , and in the temple of Kalikund Parshvanath in
Santacruz, Mumbai

श्री नवलखा पार्श्वनाथ

श्री नवलखा पार्श्वनाथ – पाली
इसके प्राचीन नाम पल्लिका व पल्ली है| श्री सांडेराव तीर्थ के इतिहास से ज्ञात होता है की वि.सं. ९६९ में सांडेराव के मंदिर के जिणोरद्वार प्रसंगे प्रतिष्ठा मोहत्सव पर प्रकांड विद्धान आचार्य श्री यशोभद्रसूरीश्वर्जी द्वारा मांत्रिक शक्ति से पाली से घी मंगवाया गया हा, जिसका व्यापारी को पता नहीं लगा सका| पश्चात सांडेराव के श्रावकगण घी की लागत के रुपयों का भुगतान करने आये| परन्तु भाग्यशाली व्यापारी ने रूपया लेने से इनकार किया व उक्त शुभ काम के लिए अपनी अमूल्य लक्ष्मी का सदुपयोग होने के कारण अति ही प्रसन्नता पूर्वक अपने को कृतार्थ समझने लगा| घी के मूल्य की राशि नव लाख रुपयों से यहीं बनवाने की योजना बनाकर इस मंदिर का निर्माण किया गया, जो नवलखा मंदिर कहलाने लगा| तत्पश्चात इस मंदिर का जिणोरद्वार वि.सं. ११४४ में होने का उल्लेख है| मंदिर में कई प्रतिमाओं पर सं ११४४, सं. ११७९ व सं. १२०१ के लेखों में इस मंदिर में मुलनायक श्री महावीर भगवान रहने का उल्लेख है| वि.सं. १६८६ में हुए पुन: जिणोरद्वार के समय मुलनायक श्री महावीर स्वामी के स्थान पर श्री पार्श्वनाथ भगवान की यह प्रतिमा प्रतिष्ठत होने का उल्लेख है| प्रतिमाजी पर भी वि.सं. १६८६ का लेख उत्कीर्ण है| वि.सं. २०४१ में बावन जिनालय से युक्त नवलखा पार्श्वनाथ की प्रतिष्ठा पू. आ. श्री कैलाशसागरसूरीश्वर्जी म.सा. के वरद हस्तों से संपन्न हुई थी|
पल्लिवाल गच्छ का उत्पति स्थान यही है| इस गाँव के नाम पर ही पल्लिवाल ओसवाल नाम पड़ा| वि.सं. ९६९ में संड़ेरक गच्छचार्य श्री यशोभद्रसूरीश्वरजी को आचार्य पदवी से यहीं पर विभूषित किया गया था|प्रारम्भ से ही यह स्थान जाहोजलालीपूर्ण रहा| यहाँ के श्रावकों ने धर्म प्रभावना के अनेक कार्य किये, जो आज भी उनकी धर्मनिष्ठा की याद दिलाते है | प्रतिवर्ष वैशाख शुक्ल ३ के दिन ध्वजा चढ़ती है| भाखरी मंदिर पर कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन मेला भरता है|
