Mulnayak: Nearly 53cms. high, chocolate – coloured idol of Bhagwan Swayambhu Parshvanath in
the Padmasana posture with an intricately carved Parrikar. There is a double layered umbrella of 7
hoods over the head of the idol. This is a one of its kind of idol.
Tirth: It is in the Kaparada village.
Historicity: This village dates back to the 14th century. Previously, this village was known as
“Kapadhaat” as clothes fair used to take place here. Later on it came to be called as Kaparda. Rao
Champa built a beautiful lake in the village name Champasar which is there even today. There is a
story as to how this temple was built. Bhanji Bhandari was an administrative officer of the Jetaran
Taluk. For some reason, King Gajsingh got angry with him and called him to Jodhpur. On the way,
he halted at the Kaparada village. He had vowed not to eat anything before worshipping the idol of
a Jain Thirthankara. A Jain Yati in the village had an idol of Bhagwan and Bhandari worshipped the
idol and with the blessings of the Yati he continued on his journey. He was found innocent in the
kings court. While returning, he halted again in the Kaparada village and met the Yati and told him
of his decision to build a temple in the village. In V.S.1660, foundation was laid for the temple. A
beautiful four – storeyed temple was built and search for an idol began. Shri Jinchandrasuriji
Maharaj Saheb had a dream in which the presence of an idol was indicated under the babool tree.
On the 10th day of the dark half of the month of Paush, the Janna Kalyanak day (birthday) of
Bhagwan Parshvanath, in the year 1674 of the Vikram era, this idol appeared from the hollow of
the ground. In V.S.1678, in this splendid four – storeyed temple, this idol of Bhagwan Parshvanath
was installed under the auspices of Shri Jinchandarsurisvarji. This idol became known as & quot ; Swayambhu Parshvanath" as it appeared by itself from the ground and "Kaparada Parshvanath"after the name of the village. By the efforts of Shashun Samrat Acharyadev Shri Nemisurishvarji, this temple was renovated. On the auspicious Basant Panchmi day in the V.S.1975, the Mulnayak was re-installed and 15 more new idols were installed by Acharyadev Shri Nemisurishvarji. The main attraction of this temple is the Choumukhi idols. This temple is 98 feet high and it reminds us
of Shri Ajitnath Bhagwan temple of Taranga. There is a basement also in this huge temple. A fair is
held here on the fifth day of the bright half of the month of Chaitra.
Other Temples: There is no other temple.
Works of art and Sculpture: The summit is delightful to see. Nearly 98 ft. high, the summit is
seen from a distance of 8 kms. This summit is differently sculpted. The sculptural skill of the idols
in the assembly hall, the ceiling of domes, the pillars and the arched gates, is really extraordinary.
This temple has been magnificently decorated with intricate artistic designs. The creative work
boasts about the skills of the craftsmen. The walls and pillars of the temple are adorned with
specimens of ancient art and paintings. This temple reminds us of the temple of Bhagwan Ajitnath
in Taranga. This is a huge, gorgeous and beautiful temple. Every year Charipali Sanghs come to
this temple for worship.
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Sivadi is at a distance of 8 kms., Jodhpur is at a
distance of 50 kms., Pipad city at a distance of 16kms., Bilada at a distance of 25 kms. and Jaipur
is at a distance of 240 kms. from the temple. Bus and taxis are available here. This temple is well
connected by road, rail and air. The nearest airport is Jodhpur. This temple is situated on the
Jodhpur – Jaipur highway. Dharamshala and Bhojanshala facilities are available here. Parshvanath.

श्री स्वयंभू पार्श्वनाथ – श्री कापरडा तीर्थ
कापारड़ा गाँव की स्थापना कब हुई, उसका पता लगाना कठिन सा है| इसके प्राचीन नाम कर्पंतहेडक, कापडहेड़ा थे, ऐसा उल्लेख मिलता है| चमत्कारिक घटनाओं के साथ वि.सं. १६४७ पौष कृष्ण १० को प्रभु के जन्म कल्याणक के शुभ दिन भूगर्भ से यह प्रतिमा प्रकट हुई थी| जेतारण के हाकिम श्री भानाजी भण्डारी द्वारा निर्मित चौमंजिले अद्भूत भव्य जिनालय में वि.सं. १६७८ वैशाख शुक्ला पूर्णिमा सोमवार के दिन आचार्य श्री जिनचन्द्रसूरीजी के सुहास्ते इस प्रभु प्रतिमा की प्रतिष्ठा संपन्न होने का लेख प्रतिमा के नीचे उल्लिखित है|
वि.सं. १९७५ के लगभग जब शासनसम्राट आचार्य श्री नेमिसुरीश्वर्जी महाराज का यहाँ पदापर्ण हुआ, तब व्यवस्था में शिल्पलता आने के कारण होती हुई आशातना को देख उन्हें दुःख हुआ| शीघ्र ही अपने पूर्र्ण प्रयास से जिणोरद्वार का कार्य प्रारंभ करवाकर मंदिर की सुव्यवस्था की| वि.सं. १९७५ माघ शुक्ला वसंत पंचमी के दिन आचार्य श्री के सुहस्ते पुन: प्रतिष्ठा संपन्न हुई | पहले इस चौ-मंजिले चतुमुर्ख मंदिर में श्री स्वयंभू पार्श्वनाथ भगवान की एक प्रतिमा ही थी| इस प्रतिष्ठा के समय अन्य १५ प्रतिमाएं भी प्रतिष्टित करवाई गई|
भंडारी गोत्र के श्री भानाजी, राजा गजसिंघ्जी के राज्यकाल में जोधपुर राज्य में जेतारण परगने के हाकिम थे| किसी कारणवश उन पर राजा ने कोपायमान होकर उन्हें जोधपुर जाने के लिए आदेश दिया| भयाकुल श्री भंडारीजी को प्रभु-प्रतिमा का दर्शन करके ही भोजन करने का नियम था| गाँव में तलाश करने पर वहां उपाश्रय में विराजित एक यतिवर के पास प्रभु प्रतिमा रहने का पता लगा| भंडारीजी प्रभु का दर्शन करके जब जाने लगे, तब निमितशास्त्र जानकार यतीजी ने भंडारीजी से जोधपुर जाने का कारण सुनकर कहा की यह आपकी कसौटी है, धैर्य रखना| आपको वहां जाने पर राजा द्वारा सम्मान मिलेगा, क्योंकि आप निर्दोष है| इधर राजा को स्वप्न में संकेत मिला की हाकिम निर्दोष है, सुनी हुई साड़ी बातें झूठी है| राजा द्वारा पूछताछ करवाने पर भानाजी निर्दोष मालुम पड़े, जिससे भानाजी के जोधपुर पहुचाने पर उन्हें राजा द्वारा सम्मान दिया गया व उन्हें पांच सौ रजत मुद्राएं उपहार स्वरुप भेंट दी गई|
भंडारीजी खुश होकर जेतारण जाते वक़्त पुन: यतीजी से मिले व सारा वृतांत कहा| यतीजी ने यहाँ सुन्दर मंदिर बनवाने की प्रेरणा दी| इस पर भंडारीजी ने कहा की उपहार प्राप्त पांच सौ मुद्राएं सेवा में अर्पित है और जो बनेगा, जरुर करूंगा| यतीजी ने प्रसन्नता पूर्वक मुद्राओं को एक थैली में भरकर ऊपर वर्धमान विधा सिद्ध वासक्षेप डालकर भंडारीजी को सौपते हुए कहा की थैली को उलटी न करना, मंदिर की आवश्यकता पूरी होती रहेगी | भंडारीजी फुले न समाये|
भंडारीजी का पूण्य प्रबल था| उनकी इच्छानुसार एक अभूतपूर्व मंदिर का नक्शा बनाया गया व कार्य प्रारम्भ हुआ| भानाजी ने अपने पुत्र श्री नरसिंह को इस कार्य के लिए रखा| कार्य सम्पूर्ण होने ने ही था की नरसिंघजी ने थैली उलटी करके देखना चाहा| ज्यो ही थैली उलटी की साड़ी मुद्राएं बाहर अवगत कराया गया| यतीजी ने कहा की जो होना था हो गया, पिताजी को कापरड़ा बुला लो| यतीजी ने कहा की जो होना था हो गया, पिताजी को कापारड़ा बुला लो| भानाजी को कापारड़ा बुलाकर सारे वृतान्तो से अवगत करवाया | भंडारी जी को अत्यंत दुःख हुआ लेकिन उपाय नहीं था| मंदिर उनकी भावनानुसार पूरा न हो पाया, लेकिन काफी हद तक हो चूका था|
