Tirth: It is among the hills in the distant forest at a distance of 13 kilometers from Balotara.

Historicity:A King’s two sons by the name of Viramdat and Nakorsen built two cities at a distance of 10 miles. They named them Virampur and Nakornagar accordingly.These kings built temples in their cities. In Virampur an idol of Shri Chandraprabhu swami was installed and in Nakorsen an idol of Shri Suparsvanath swami was installed in the third century of the Vikram era and the idol was installed by His Holiness Acharya Sthulibhadraswami. In course of time, this temple was renovated many times. When Alamshsh invaded this place in the year 1280 of the Vikram era, the sangha kept these120 idols hidden in the cellar in the Kalidrah village for protection. This temple was again renovated in the fifteenth century. 120 idols were brought here from Kalidrah and the beautiful and miraculous idol of Bhagwan Parshvanath was installed here as Mulnayak in the year 1429 of the Vikram era and today it is there. As the idol was from Nakornagar,it was named as”Nakoda Parshvanath”.The idol  of the manifest and real presiding god Bhairavji was installed here by Acharya Kirtiratnasurishvarji. Bhairavji is very miraculous. He protects the tirth and fulfills the wishes of the worshippers. His miracles are known all over the world. Thousands, of Pilgrims, come here. At present there is no population besides the temples. A fair is held here every year on the tenth day of the dark half of the month of Paush, the janmakalyanak (birthday) of Bhagawan Parshvanath.

Other Temples: There are also the temples of Bhagawan Shantinath and the temple of Bhagawan Adishwar which is believed to be very ancient and belonging to the seventeenth century.

Works of art and Sculpture: The idols of the period from the twelfth to the sixteenth century are displayed here. The natural scene of this lonely place among the hills in the forest is very beautiful, peaceful and fascinating. The idol of Bhagawan Parshvanath is very expressive. Among tirths in Rajsthan, this tirth has a special significance.

Guidelines: Balotara, the nearest railway station, is at a distance of 13 kilometers from this temple. Bus service, and private vehicles from every tirth in Rajasthan to this place are available. In the compound of the temple there is a dharmashala with excellent lodging facilities. An ayambilshala, a bhojanshala, an upashraya, a gynanabhandar (wealth of knowledge – library),  and a panjarapol are also there.

Scripture:A mention of this temple has been made in “Tirthmala”, “Shri Sankheswar Parshvanath Chand”, etc. There is an idol of Shri Nakoda Parshvanath in “Jiravala Tirth”, in”Kalikund Parshvanath temple” in Santacruz, Mumbai.
