- Bhuvan Parshwanath
Mulnayak: Nearly 68 cms. high, beautiful Parrikar- yukt black – coloured idol of Shri Bhuvan Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture. There is an umbrella of 7 hoods over the head of the idol.
Tirth: It is in Bhoyara Pada in the town of Khambhat in Gujarat.
Historicity: The ancient name of Khambhat was “Trambavati” and today it is known as “Cambay” in the English language. From ancient times, Khambhat is very famous for its Jain temples. This temple of Parshvanath known as “Navkhanda Parshvanath Temple” is very ancient. This Navkhanda Parshvanath is known as “Bhuvan Parshvanath”. A mention of this is made in the briefing (prastavana) given by Shri Girdharlal Hirabhai in the “Jaitihuana Stotra” book. This idol of Shri Bhuvan Parshvanath is alluring, magnificent, impressive and pleasing to the eyes of a devotee. There is an inscription in the temple stating that the idol of Shri Ajithnath Bhagwan here was installed by Shri Hirvijaysurishvarji in V.S.1636. This shows the antiquity of this temple. This temple was renovated in V.S.2027 keeping the Mulnayak idols in their place. A flag is hoisted on the 5th day of the bright half of the month of Vaishak every year. Many scriptures written in Tamrapatra are kept in the Gyan Bhandaar here.

2. Shri Shantinath temple which has an ancient and alluring idol of Parshvanath with V.S.1383 written on it. The other idols in this temple belong to 16th century.

There are more than 60 temples in Khambhat. The temples of Khambhat are the pride of Gujarat.
Guidelines: Khambhat is at a distance of 80kms. from Vadodara and 90kms. from Ahmedabad. There are many Dharamshalas and Bhojanshalas in Khambhat. There are many Upashrayas, Pathshalas and Gyanbhandaarshere. Many ancient manuscripts and sculptures are there in these Gyan bhandaars.
Scripture: Many scriptures, stavans, Raas were written here by many great Acharyas, Sadhus etc.
Shri Gautam Swami Raas was written in Khambhat by Shri Vinayprabhji in V.S.1422. In the middle of the 16th century, Shri Nannsuriji wrote “Vichaar Sogathi”, “Gajsukumar Rajarshi Sajjhaya” and “Panchh Tirth Stavan”. Shri Lavanya Samay wrote “Surpriya Kevali Raas”, in V.S.1567. Shri Vacchrajji wrote “Samyaktva Komudi Raas” and “Shri Shantinath Charitra” in V.S.1642. Shri Sakalchandra Upadhyay wrote “Shri Vasupujya Jin Punya Prakash Raas” in V.S.1643. Shri Kushallabhji wrote “Shri Sthamban Parshvanath Stavan” in V.S. 1653. In the 17th century, Shri Rishabdasji wrote many books in Gujarati. During his Chaturmaas in V.S.1727, Shri Laabhvijayji wrote the famous “Shripal Mayanasundari Raas” here. Shri Bhanuvijayji wrote “Maun Ekadasi Stavan” and “Shasvata Ashasvata Jin Tirthmala” in V.S.1773. In the 18th century, Shri Yashovijayji wrote “Sadhu Vandana”, “Maun Ekadasi 150 Kalyanak Stavan””Jambi Raas” etc. Shri Matisagarji wrote “Khambhat ki Tirthmala” and “Dhanna Rishi Choupai”. Shri Atmaramji Maharaj wrote “Agyan Timir Bhaskar” in V.S.1942.The main temple of Shri Bhuvan Parshvanath is in Bhoyara Pada in Khambhat. Shri Bhuvan Parshvanath is also known as Shri Navkhanda Parshvanath. There are many temples of Shri Navkhanda Parshvanath all over India.

ગુજરાતના ખેડા જિલ્લાના ખંભાત ખાતે શ્રી ભુવન પાર્શ્વનાથ પ્રભુનું મુખ્યત્વે ભોંયરાના પાડામાં આવેલું છે.આ પાર્શ્વનાથનું બીજું નામ નવખંડા પાર્શ્વનાથજી છે.ખંભાતમાં પ્રાચીન અને દર્શનીય જિનાલયો આવેલા છે. તેમ જ જ્ઞાનભંડારો પણ છે.
ખંભાતમાં ભોંયરાના પાડામાં શ્યામ વર્ણના, પાષાણના, પદ્માસનસ્થ અને સપ્તફણાથી અલંકૃત કલાત્મક પરિકરથી પરિવૃત શ્રી નવખંડા પાર્શ્વનાથ પ્રભુજીની પ્રતિમાજી છે. આ પ્રતિમાજી ૨૭ ઇંચ ઉંચી અને ૨૨ ઇંચ પહોળી છે. આ શ્રી નવખંડા પાર્શ્વનાથને શ્રી ભુવન પાર્શ્વનાથ તરીકે ‘જય તીહુઅણ સ્તોત્ર’ નામના પુસ્તકમાં આલેખ માં જણાવાયા છે. આ જિનાલયમાં આચાર્ય ભગવંત શ્રી હીરવિજયસુરીજી ના વરદ હસ્તે વિક્રમ સંવત 1636માં શ્રી અજિતનાથ પ્રભુની પ્રતિમાજીની પ્રતિષ્ઠા થયાનો ઉલ્લેખ જોવા મળે છે. વિક્રમ સંવત 2027 માં આ જિનાલયનું જીર્ણોદ્ધાર કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. શ્રીસંઘ દ્વારા દર વર્ષે વૈશાખ સુદ પાંચમના દિવસે વર્ષગાંઠ ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. ખંભાતમાં અનેક પ્રાચીન રચનાઓનું સર્જન થયું છે. પ્રાચીન રચનાઓનું આ તીર્થમાં ઉલ્લેખ થયો છે.

श्री भुवन पार्श्वनाथ – खंभात
खंभात शहर के भोंयरा पाडा में श्री भुवन पार्श्वनाथ का जिनालय है| पद्मासन में बैठी हुई यह प्रतिमा सप्त फणा से युक्त २७ इंच ऊँची व २२ इंच चौड़ी है|
कृष्ण वर्ण की यह प्रतिमा नयन रम्य है| श्याम पाषण से युक्त परिकर से शोभा में अभिवृधि हुई है| इस पार्श्वनाथ का दूसरा नाम नवखंडा पार्श्वनाथ भी है|
