Mulnayak: Nearly 53 cms. high Parrikar -yukt white – coloured idol of Bhagwan Champa
Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture. There is an umbrella of 7 hoods over the head of the idol.
Tirth: It is in Golwad Sheri of Salvi wada in Patan.

Historicity: The city of Patan is very famous for its ancient Jain temples. This is a very ancient
temple built during the period of Maharaja Kumarpal. This ancient, influential and miraculous idol of
Champa Parshvanath is believed to be of the period of King Samprati. At one time, lakhs of Jains
lived in Patan and there were hundreds of Jain temples here. After the Muslim invasion in
V.S.1356, Patan was destroyed and most of the temples were ruined. Very few ancient temples are
there at present. So, this temple is believed to be older than the 14th century. This temple was
renovated in V.S. 2043.

Guidelines: This temple is at a distance of 1.5kms. from Patan railway station. Patan is well
connected by rail and road. Bus and private vehicles are available here. There are many ancient
temples in Patan.

Scripture: A mention of Champa Parshvanath is made in "Patan Chaitya Paripati", in "365 Shri
Parshva Jin Naammala", in "Patan Jinalaya Stuti" etc. An idol of Champa Parshvanath is there in
Samavasaran temple in Palitana.

श्री चंपा पार्श्वनाथ – पाटण
पाटण शहर के सालवी वाडे में श्री चंपा पार्श्वनाथ का भव्य जिनालय है| श्वेत वर्णीय सात फने से युक्त यह प्रतिमाजी २१ इंच ऊँचे व १९ इंच चौड़े है|
यह प्रतिमा संप्रतिकालीन है| कुमारपाल के समय में इस मंदिर का निर्माण हुआ था| वर्तमान ने विधमान मंदिर की प्रतिष्ठा संवत् १७०० के आसपास हुई है|
