68.Dada Parshwanath

Mulnayak: Nearly 65 cms high, black-coloured idol of Dada Parshvanath in the Padmasana
posture. There is an umbrella of 9 hoods over the head of the idol.
Tirth: It is at the foot of the Aravalli hills in the old Beda village which is at a distance of 5 kms.
from the New Beda village.
Historicity: This ancient temple built at the foot of the Aravalli hills during the 11th century of the
Vikram era is very miraculous and influential.It's glory is infinite. On seeing the flow of affection
emerging from the body of the idol of Bhagwan Parshvanath, the worshippers are inspired with
devotion. Previously, the first Thirthankara Shri Adinath Bhagwan was the Mulnayak of this temple.
Dada Parshvanath was installed in this temple by the revered hands of Acharya Shri Hirsurishvarji.
V.S. 1644 is inscripted on the idol. This is the Sadhana Bhoomi of Adyatmayogi Shri
Bhadrankarvijayji. In the lonely atmosphere of the Aravalli hills, it is an excellent place for
meditation. One day a miracle happened. A diksharti's hands became scented with divine
fragrance when he was going to do Pooja of Bhagwan in the temple. This fragrance was there in
his hands for three days. This temple came in to limelight after Updhaan Tap and Navpad Oli tap
were done here.
Other Temples: There are no other temples here. But there is a 52 jinalaya temple of
Sambhavnath Bhagwan in New Beda village.
Guidelines: This temple is at a distance of 40 kms from Sadadi and Pindvada and at a distance of
10 kms from Nana tirth (52 jinalaya temple of the period of Bhagwan Mahaveer). Bus service and
private vehicles are available. Dharamshala and Bhojanshala facilities are available here.
Scripture: A mention of Dada Parshvanath is made in "365 Shri Parshvajin Naammala", in "Shri
Parshvanath Chand", in "Shri Bhateva Parshvanath Stavan", in "108 Naamgarbhit Shri
Parshvanath Stavan", in "Tirthmala", in "Shri Parshvanath Naammala" etc. In the 17th century,
Poet Rajsundar has written "Shri Parshvanath Bhaktambar Stotra" addressing Dada Parshvanath.
Many more poets have written many more stutis and slokas in praise of Dada Parshvanath. An idol
of Dada Parshvanath is there in Jiravala Tirth and in Kalikund Parshvanath temple in Santacruz,
Mumbai.
1. The main tirth of Dada Parshvanath is old Beda in Sirohi district of Rajasthan.
2. There is an ancient temple of Dada Parshvanath in Baroda, Gujarat. This temple in Narsinghji ki
pole was built by Maharaja Kumarpal. This idol made of sand is very influential.
3. There is a temple of Dada Parshvanath in Dhanerao in Rajasthan.
4. Shri Dokariya Parshvanath in the tirth of Chandraprabhas Patan is also known as Dada
Parshvanath.
5. Shri Sesali Parshvanath in Sesali tirth is also known as Dada Parshvanath.

श्री दादा पार्श्वनाथ
बड़ा से ५ की.मी. दूर प्राचीन बेडा में श्री दादा पार्श्वनाथ का प्राचीन, प्रभावक और चमत्कारी तीर्थ विधमान है| अरावली पर्वत के निकट निर्जन एकांत वातावरण में आए इस तीर्थ का वातावरण अत्यंत ही आहालदक है| विक्रम की ग्यारहवी शताब्दी में इस तीर्थ के निर्माण का अनुमान है| श्री दादा पार्श्वनाथ की गादी पर सं. १६४४ का शिलालेख है|
श्री हीरसूरीश्वर्जी म.सा. के वरद हस्तों से इस प्रतिमा को गादीनशीन करने के पूर्व यहाँ मुलनायक के रूप में श्री आदिनाथ प्रभु बिराजमान थे|
वि.सं. १६५६ में कवी श्री नयसुन्दर विचरित “श्री शंखेश्वर पार्श्वनाथ छंद” में श्री दादा पार्श्वनाथ को “दारिद्घ चुरक” कहा गया है|
