Mulnayak: Nearly 68cms. high white – coloured idol of Bhagwan Sogatiya Parshvanath in the
padmasana posture. There is an umbrella of 5 hoods over the head of the idol.
Tirth: It is at the foot of the Jekhal hills in the city of Narlai.

Historicity: In ancient times, this prosperous city was known as Naradpuri, Nandkulvati, Naddulai
Vallabhpur etc. This city which is surrounded by hills was established by Narada. On the nearby
hills of this city, Pradyumna Kumar, son of Shri Krishna built a beautiful and glorious temple and
got an influential idol of Bhagwan Neminath installed in it. This shows the antiquity of this city. On
the other hill, there is a temple of Shri Adinath Bhagwan. These two hills are known as Shatrunjay
(Adinath Bhagwan) and Girnar ( Neminath Bhagwan). The temple of Sogatiya Parshvanath is very
ancient. It is believed to be of the 10th century of the Vikram era. This idol of Sogatiya Parshvanath
which emerged from the ground is believed to be of the period of King Samprati. This city has been
sanctified by the footsteps of many great Acharyas like Shri Premsurishvarji, Shri
Ramchandrasurishvarji, Shri Kailashsagarsurishvarji, Shri Bhuvanbhanusurishvarji etc. A fair is
held here on Karthik Purnima and Chaitri Purnima day.

Other temples: There are 7 temples at the foot of the Jekhal hills, 2 temples in the city and 2
temples on the two hills known as Shatrunjay and Girnar.

Works of Art and Sculpture: This is a very ancient temple. The idol is very alluring, divine and
beautiful. The atmosphere here surrounded by the natural beauty of the hills is very peaceful.

Guidelines: This temple is at a distance of 25 kms. from Rani station and 40 kms. from Falna
station. The ancient Tirth of Nadol is close by from here. Dhanerao is 13 kms. and Muchala
Mahaveer is 16 kms from here. Bus service and private vehicles are available. Dharamshala and
Bhojanshala facilities are available here.

Scripture: A mention of this temple has been made in "Tirtmala", in "Chaitya Paripati", in "Shri
Sankheswar Parshvanath Chand", in "Tirthyatra Stavan", in "135 Naamgarbhit Shri Parshvanath
Stavan" etc.
